Meme protest, citizens challenge Rama and Berisha with satire and creativity
On the 12th day of the civic protest, creativity has become the protesters' strongest weapon. With memes, satire, irony, and banners going viral on social media, citizens are giving the movement an identity that is completely different from the traditional protests of the last 35 years.
As thousands of citizens continue to gather in front of the Prime Minister's Office to oppose the project in Zvërnec and demand the removal of Edi Rama, one element has stood out more than anything else during these 12 days: creativity.
Unlike classic political party protests, dominated by flags, militants, and ready-made slogans, this protest is building its identity through humor, irony, and memes that directly attack political power.
Dozens of banners have appeared in the square and have made the rounds on social media, becoming a symbol of civic revolt.
