A 58-year-old Albanian man, sentenced to 14 years in prison for murder, has been captured in Greece, as a result of cooperation between Albanian and Greek police, who finalized the operation codenamed "The Wanted".
It is learned that the arrested person is citizen Albert Kapllanaj, 58 years old, who is internationally wanted.
The First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Fier, with the decision dated 27.06.2013, sentenced him to 14 years in prison, for the criminal offenses of "Intentional Murder", "Intentional Murder", attempted, and "Unauthorized Possession and Production of Weapons, Combat Weapons and Ammunition". He has 6 years of imprisonment left to serve from the sentence.
In 1999, Kapllanaj, during a conflict with 3 citizens, fired several shots at them. Citizen AF lost his life and 2 of his family members were injured.
