The 35th nationwide protest against the government and the political class, held this Saturday in Tirana, ended with a message for continued mobilization.
The rally was joined by citizens from all over Albania, as well as Albanians from the diaspora, giving the protest a nationwide character.
After the march from Skanderbeg Square to the Prime Minister's Office and speeches given by activists, diaspora representatives, and citizens, organizer Edison Lika took the floor at the end of the protest.
"In September we will be more numerous," he said, adding with determination that the rallies will continue.
Activist Lika stated with conviction that the protests are expected to continue even after the summer season, although he did not provide details on whether the rallies will be suspended during the two summer months or will continue according to a new calendar.
During today's protest, participants marched with placards, national flags, and banners, while chanting slogans against the government and demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama, the release of arrested protesters, and changes to the political system.
The participation of the diaspora, which joined the rally for the second time, was one of the most prominent elements of the 35th protest.
