With national flags, a kilometer-long convoy of Albanians from the diaspora heads to Tirana for the protest

A convoy of vehicles belonging to Albanians in the diaspora is traveling towards Tirana, having reportedly passed through Lezha.

Several hundred Albanians from the Diaspora are expected to join in Tirana with citizens who have been protesting against the political class for more than a month and demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama.

The vehicles are covered with national flags, just like a few weeks ago, when the diaspora once again landed in Tirana for the nationwide protest.

The rally will take place in front of the Prime Minister's Office building and marks the 35th protest organized with the same political demands.

Protesters are demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama, the initiation of investigations against him and Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku. Their demands also include a change in the political system.

According to the organizers, after the government leaves office, an apolitical transitional executive should be created, tasked with preparing the country for the holding of free elections.
