A young man with an average build and glasses is being looked at by the Tirana police as a person who helped the perpetrators to provide information on the movements of the victim Gilmando Dani and the injured Muçi Shaljani (Sheqeri). This citizen approached the Rinas area around 13:00, where he got out of a "Fiat" car that was parked near the airport parking lot.
Security cameras show that as soon as this citizen entered, he saw on the monitor the planes that were about to land at that moment. According to verifications, the Barcelona-Tirana flight was delayed by about 15 minutes, and at that moment he headed towards the airport toilets, to then return to the area where passengers disembark.
From the security camera review it results that, as soon as Dani and Muçi arrived, who each had a bag with them, the suspect immediately started making phone calls. This citizen followed the two people until they got into the car, where according to the information, his goal was to show where the target Gilmando Dani would sit. As soon as the two people got into the car, the suspect quickly left on foot in the opposite direction of traffic.
Meanwhile, Muçi Sheqeri and Gilmando Dani left the parking lot, went to the toll booth to make a payment, and as soon as they finished paying, they headed towards the roundabout. According to the police, a car stopped in front of the victim's vehicle, standing motionless for several minutes, and it is believed that this was the moment when the perpetrators received the signal to attack.
As the victim's vehicle approached the roundabout, three people got out of a Toyota, while another person remained in the car. Three Kalashnikovs were fired at the Benz, according to police, targeting the passenger in the vehicle.
According to security camera footage, for about 5 seconds no one moved from the vehicle, but then a masked person with a Kalashnikov approached, went to the passenger door and shot several times through the glass, before driving away.
The first to come to help were citizens and Rinas police officers. As soon as they approached the "Benz", they asked the driver to open the door, but this was impossible due to the injuries sustained to the neck and head.
The perpetrators' Toyota vehicle has Greek license plates and, according to security cameras, was parked around Rinas until the moment of the execution. The police remain hopeful that the informant, for whom they have begun searching, will be able to find him. In the meantime, it is being verified whether any data can be obtained from the car, which turns out to belong to a private company./Oranews
