A former soldier was arrested in a Tirana police operation, suspected of distributing drugs and weapons in the capital with his taxi.
From the published footage, it appears that the taxi vehicle driven by 46-year-old Altin Celami, a former soldier in the Pezë Helmës unit, was being monitored by the police via drone.
At the final moment, several police officers got out of a vehicle in front of the taxi driven by Celami, and at the same time others stationed in the surrounding area intervened and handcuffed the 46-year-old. He is suspected of supplying weapons to criminal groups, but also distributing narcotics.
Celami seems to have carried out all of his criminal activity by disguising himself as a taxi driver, perhaps even escaping routine police checks, but also suspicions.
