Police have reacted to the accident the night before, where a bus hit an 18-year-old woman on a bicycle.
The accident occurred near the Palace of Arrows in Tirana, while witnesses at the scene said that the girl who was riding her bicycle ran a red light and suddenly entered the lane of the "Green Line" urban bus. The bus then collided with two parked vehicles.
According to police, three other people who were on the bus were also injured. The three injured are in hospital under the care of doctors.
Meanwhile, the bus driver has been arrested for violating traffic rules.
"Traffic Traffic Specialists arrested citizen Ç. Sh., 56 years old, after it is suspected that yesterday evening, on Kavaja Street, he lost control of the bus he was driving and collided with a bicycle on which citizen GK, 18 years old, was riding, and then with two parked vehicles. As a result, the 18-year-old and 3 citizens who were on the bus were injured, who are in the hospital under the care of doctors," the police announced.
