From the threat of closure and funding cuts to the scenario of razing the building, the prime minister's well-known model for alienating state assets is being repeated with Albanian Radio Television.

Edi Rama's attack on RTSH is not related to the performance or public mission of the television, but to the strategic plot of land that it owns in the center of Tirana. Sources within the government speak of a well-thought-out plan to close RTSH, level the building and turn it into a construction site for residential towers and shopping centers. The scenario follows the same line used previously with ATSH, cultural institutions, stadiums and the Palace of Congresses, confirming that the prime minister's political attacks always precede the alienation of public assets in favor of construction clients and concessionaires.

Every attack that Prime Minister Edi Rama has made against public service institutions, which own large amounts of real estate, has shown that it was intended to provide private beneficial interests for his construction and concessionaire clients.

There are signals that this interest was also behind the attack on Albanian Radio Television a few days ago, warning of its closure through the cessation of funding and its dissolution, with the excuse that it is not fulfilling its mission.

He stated:
"RTSH is an example of complete failure, sinking from debt to debt and they are asking us for additional funds, but we will not give them a single lek. Every option should be open for the fate of RTSH: closure, partnership with private parties, privatization or other possibilities."

Information emerging from sources within the government speaks of a well-thought-out plan by Prime Minister Edi Rama to close Radio Television Albania, raze the building, and convert the land into a construction site for residential towers and shopping centers.

This towering scenario has been talked about in whispers before and after the appointment of former director of the QSUT, Enkeledi Joti, and former MP Alfred Peza as head of RTSH, but it was articulated more openly before and after the appointment of Eni Vasili, who had the mission of degrading and bankrupting RTSH.

Now, seven months after Eni Vasili's appointment, Prime Minister Edi Rama has personally committed to the destruction of RTSH, publicly announcing at a meeting of the government and the SP Parliamentary Group the scenario for the closure of the public radio and television.

Just three days after this announcement, the Speaker of the Parliament, Niko Peleshi, announced the establishment of a public television station called "Media Hub" at the service of parliament, while Prime Minister Edi Rama ordered the Ministry of Finance not to allocate funds to RTSH.

Edi Rama may not formally close RTSH, but he could relocate it to a floor of one of the towers that will be built on its land and without budget funding. According to the scheme announced by Pamfleti, he will triple the television tax and leave this burden to the public as the sole financing for RTSH.

When Edi Rama attacks and warns of a scenario, he does not back down until he realizes it at all costs. This is also happening with the scenario to "sacrifice" RTSH and donate the land for building towers.

The same scenario was followed with the Albanian Telegraphic Agency, which was initially attacked by calling it a "nursery of parasites with no information value", then moved out of the building, the Ministry of Environment and the Educational Services Center were located there, while a year later the building was transferred to the Investment Corporation and the land was given to government clients for the construction of the government complex with "VOID Tower".

The RTSH building, located next to the tower complex of oligarchs Bashkim Ulaj and Idajet Ismailaj, is one of the most coveted and expensive properties in the heart of Tirana, targeted for years to be razed and towers built.

Edi Rama has implemented the same scenario of leveling towers with cinemas, libraries, cultural centers, the National Theater, the Circus, the national stadium, and is currently implementing it with the Palace of Congresses, stadiums in Durrës, Vlora and Korça, as well as with the "Asllan Rusi" Sports Palace and sports fields.

Edi Rama gave the first signal for the demolition of RTSH two years ago, with the removal of ownership of 262 thousand m² of the Radio Station's land in Xhafzotaj, for the construction of the "Durana Tech" offshore park, where 122 thousand m² of this area is still unknown where it ended up.

well-thought-out plan to close RTSH, level the building and turn it into a construction site for residential towers and shopping centers. The scenario follows the same line used previously with ATSH, cultural institutions, stadiums and the Palace of Congresses, confirming that the prime minister's political attacks always precede the alienation of public assets in favor of construction and concessionaire clients./ Pamphlet
