US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said on Wednesday that the US military will hit Iran hard if Tehran does not reach a deal to end the conflict between the two countries, repeating a threat made by President Donald Trump earlier in the day.
"We are fully focused on the outcome that the president wants on behalf of the American people, and we have made great progress. And as the president said today, if they don't make a deal, then we will hit them hard," Hegseth said, addressing staff at U.S. Central Command in Tampa, Florida.
Trump said earlier today that the US will carry out further attacks on Iran, saying in a social media post that Iran has taken too long to negotiate a deal… now it will have to pay the price!!!
