The UN nuclear watchdog has adopted a resolution demanding Iran declare its remaining stocks of enriched uranium and allow inspectors to verify them.
The 35-member Board of Governors approved the motion by 21 votes to three, with 10 abstentions. Opposition came from Russia, China and Nigeria, diplomats told Reuters.
Iran's permanent mission in Vienna rejected the decision as wrong, politically motivated and "lacking professionalism".
"The resolution hypocritically expresses support for a diplomatic solution, while the US simultaneously engages in further acts of aggression, including against Iranian civilian infrastructure, and promotes confrontation in various forums. A diplomatic solution requires a minimum of good faith," the UN response said.
The resolution was initially submitted by the US, Britain, France and Germany.
