Journalist Anduena Llabani, invited to the "Now" show on Euronews Albania, spoke about the murder on Sunday evening in Elbasan of businessman Mondi Mëhalla.
Llabani stated that such attacks show that the perpetrators are strong and that they carry out the murder in the middle of the city.
According to her, the event sends a clear message and that the perpetrators are showing that they do not tolerate. She emphasized that so far two perpetrators are suspected, while the number of the group involved in preparing the execution is still unknown.
"He was shot with two bullets in the head just as night fell in the middle of the city. If the crime had few witnesses before, today the messages that are given are very big, showing that they are many times more powerful. They have so many cars at their disposal and we can burn them, they just need to carry out the executions they want."
"The reason why Elbasan was chosen is an open message that we do not forgive and do not tolerate. It is being used as if it were a staged event, and these events have the same dynamics. There are two perpetrators so far. Sasa is the group that worked to prepare such an assassination, it is not known. Such assassinations take time, they observe the victim for months and know the itinerary of where he stays, where he eats and where he drinks until the moment they catch him leaving the business," she said.
