Journalist Anila Hoxha has shared other details from the murder of businessman Edomond Hyka, alias Mondi Mëhalla, yesterday evening in Elbasan.
Invited to 'Top Story', Anila revealed that a year ago, the deceased's apartment was searched, where several forged documents and a weapon were seized, for which he was also accused.
" At the moment we have Ronaldo Gjoni with us. There is still no concrete lead to put a finger on. Renaldo Gjoni is from Lezha, there are suspicions that he was identified by the burned vehicle. The car is suspected to have been sold some time ago to another person. The investigation team is focused on the last users of the car. The other direction is related to the deceased's past, since in 2024 the apartment was also searched for narcotics. A search was conducted where a weapon and false documents were found and charges were filed against the deceased for illegal possession of weapons. The mother claimed that her son had no knowledge of the weapon and the case was dismissed.

The city of Elbasan is in 2nd place for drug distribution in the city, especially in the 5 May neighborhood. Criminal property proceedings have also been initiated for the deceased , "said Anila Hoxha.
