Journalist Klodiana Lala has revealed new information regarding the person escorted a few minutes ago by the Elbasan police, suspected of being involved in the assassination attempt on 43-year-old Mondi Mëhalla.
Lala said on the show 'Të Paekspozuarit' that the arrested person has been identified as Naldo Gjoni and that he was filmed driving the vehicle that was used in the assassination. According to Lala, he was caught on security cameras on the 'Rrrugës e Kombit' beam a few days before the assassination. She said that Gjoni will be questioned by the police to then go to the perpetrators.

Lala : A few minutes before we entered the studio, the Elbasan Police were conducting investigative actions in the area, in the Lezha area. A person has been identified there who has been driving an Audi type vehicle over the last few days and has focused on a security camera on the national road. This person was stopped just a little while ago, in the heart of the city of Lezha. A search is being carried out in his apartment, the identity is Naldi Gjoni and he will be questioned about everyone, about all his movements in recent days. So, when did he get this vehicle, from whom did he get it, whether he used it before the incident or the night of the incident, did he give it to another person, because in this way they are trying to get to the person who used this vehicle.

Lala : Yes, he is the person who was accompanied a little while ago. Yes, in recent days, he was caught at the moment he was paying on the road, on Kombit Road. You know that there is a beam where the payment is made. It was focused on by security cameras and it was identified that this is the person who was using the vehicle. If he used it yesterday, that is, last evening when the incident occurred, whether he was found in Elbasan or not, the State Police will have to clarify this because at the moment we are talking, he is on his way to be accompanied from Lezha towards Elbasan, where he will certainly be questioned by the investigation group. I will spare you a moment, there is a Beretta type pistol that was found by police officers and is thought to have been used in the incident.
