
Ernest Lama, 24, and Gëzim Hoxhaj, 32, who were shot in a bar in Saranda, are reported to be in serious condition.
The two young men from Tirana were taken to the Trauma Hospital yesterday (July 17) after being seriously injured and are under the care of doctors.
The police have announced a search for Ramadan Zoto alias Ramadan Canaj on charges of attempted murder, his brother, Erjon Canaj, as well as two other people, Artan Murtaj and Klaus Jaçaj, on charges of supporting the perpetrator.
"Four citizens were declared wanted: Ramadan Zoto, 43 years old, resident of Saranda, for the criminal offense "Murder under other qualifying circumstances", which remained in attempted form. Erjon Canaj, 36 years old, Artan Murtaj, 43 years old, and Klaus Jaçaj, 31 years old, all three residents of Saranda, for the criminal offense "Supporting the perpetrator of the crime", the police informed.
Adding: "The investigative actions have resulted in the conclusion that for weak motives, these citizens have physically clashed with citizens GH, 33 years old, and EL, 25 years old, both residents of Tirana, and during this conflict, citizen RZ is suspected of having shot at them with a firearm, seriously injuring both of them. Citizens G. H. and E. L. are in the Trauma Hospital, Tirana, under the care of doctors."
32-year-old Gëzim Hoxhaj was arrested in hospital conditions, after a pistol firearm was found and seized after he was injured.
He has been charged with the criminal offense of "Unauthorized possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition."
At the scene, 4 firearm cartridges, a "Beretta" type pistol, and a magazine with 9 cartridges were seized as material evidence.
