Citizens continue to march in the streets of the capital, while the tenth day of protests shows no signs of tiring. Car horns, red and black flags and calls for a "New Albania" have taken over Tirana.
For more than five hours, Tirana continues to be under the rhythm of civic protest, while thousands of protesters continue to march through the streets of the capital with no signs of retreating.
After the initial gathering in Skanderbeg Square and the rally in front of the Prime Minister's Office, the protest has spread in several directions, with groups of citizens crossing different axes of Tirana. For hours, the main streets and neighborhoods of the capital have been filled with red and black flags, chants and slogans against the government and the political class.
"Rama goes away", "Berisha in prison", "New Albania", "We want justice", "The homeland is not for sale" and "Revolution" are the calls that are constantly heard from groups of protesters, who move in separate columns, touching almost every part of the city.
The protest atmosphere is not limited to the marchers. In many segments of the route, citizens on sidewalks, in bars, or on apartment balconies greet the protesters, while drivers continuously honk their horns in support.
In some areas, the sound of horns has joined the cheers of the crowd, creating the appearance of a capital that has been living under the rhythm of protest for hours.
One of the elements that has stood out today is the large participation of young people. Students, families, professionals and citizens of different ages continue to march together, turning the protest into one of the longest and most sustained mobilizations in recent days.
As the evening progresses, protesters continue to move through the streets of Tirana, without giving any signals that the march is nearing its end.
Five hours after its start, the protest continues to keep the capital ablaze. Tirana is buzzing with chants, flags and columns of citizens demanding change, while the march continues on some of the city's main axes.
