The Ministry of Defense has reacted after a fire broke out in a residential complex in the capital, announcing that the situation is being closely monitored and that numerous forces have been deployed on the ground to deal with the emergency.
According to the official announcement, dozens of firefighting vehicles and personnel from various structures were involved in the operation, while so far no injuries have been reported as a direct result of the flames.
The Municipality of Tirana has operated with full capacity, both in terms of vehicles and personnel. In support, the Municipality of Kamëz has also been engaged with two firefighting vehicles and 10 personnel, as well as the Municipality of Vora with two other vehicles and 10 personnel.
Meanwhile, the Armed Forces have made available four fire engines, 26 personnel and a Cougar helicopter, which is intervening from the air to extinguish the flames. The UKT has also been involved in the operation, which has assisted with three water tankers.
The authorities inform that the relevant structures continue to be on full alert and are monitoring the situation continuously until it is fully normalized.
