The concert of the artist Kanye West was one of the topics that returned to the center of the speeches during the 39th protest against Prime Minister Edi Rama.
Some protesters criticized the use of public funds to organize the event and called on citizens to boycott it.
One of the protesters called the concert a "trap" and said that public services should be the priority.
"Be careful with the festival because it is a trap. At a time when we don't have a single paracetamol in the hospital, we are spending 4 million euros from the emergency fund for a festival. We are not being threatened, we are being protested. Let the patronage and soufflé lovers enjoy that festival. We will not fall victim to the expression 'the village burns, the good girl is raped'", he said.
Another protester also criticized the use of public funds, adding that Albanian artists are not paid and appreciated while millions of euros are paid to foreigners.
"They open their pockets and give 4 million euros to a person, while there are Albanian talents and they don't pay them. Belinda Balluku doesn't even have a high school diploma. We have gathered for Edi Rama, to expel this criminal who has turned Albania into private property. Let's gather and expel these politicians, the opposition has its place here, so don't you dare confront them!", said the citizen.
