Journalist Elkier Bushkolaj said that Albanian institutions have failed in the fight against organized crime and drug trafficking.
According to Bushkolaj, the visit of the head of SPAK, Altin Dumani, to the State Department is not simply an official visit, but is related to the activity of Albanian criminal groups that are part of the international drug trafficking.
In the SPAK statement, only the issue of money laundering is mentioned, ignoring the criminal dimension of trafficking groups.
Bushkolaj stressed that Montenegro has some of the most dangerous drug trafficking groups in Europe, mentioning Skalari and Kavac, which have been operating for years in a bloody feud that has swept across Europe from Spain to Turkey to Latin America. According to the journalist, the cooperation of these groups with Albanian organized crime clearly shows the weak and unjustifiable role of SPAK in investigating international trafficking.
Bushkolaj also mentioned SPAK files, including those of Suel Çela and Çopjave, which show the unlimited access of Albanian groups to money laundering in Albania.
He criticized Edi Rama for granting construction permits to suspicious entities, while not guaranteeing any effective investigation by SPAK.
Another significant problem is the port of Durres, from which no significant amount of narcotics has been seized in the last three years, except for a cargo of about 130 kg coming from North Macedonia, an event that raises doubts about the lack of control and the influence of criminal groups.
The journalist openly asks: Is Tirana and the Albanian coast an "oasis" for laundering drug trafficking money, whether in the construction sector or in the construction of towers that the economy does not justify?
"Both the State Department statement and the SPAK statement, which came as a reaction to the official request for information, emphasize one element: Duman's visit to the State Department was about Albanian criminal groups that are part of the international drug trafficking, while the SPAK statement mentions the issue of money laundering.
Today there is a new element, SPAK leader Altin Dumani has paid a visit to Montenegro, and what was the focus of this visit with his Montenegrin counterpart?
According to the SPAK announcement today, it is noted that the meeting placed special emphasis on the detection and prosecution of perpetrators of drug trafficking in both countries.
Montenegro has two of the most dangerous drug trafficking groups in Europe, the Skalari and Kavac groups, which have been engaged in a bloody feud for years that has bled Europe from Spain to Turkey to Latin American countries, and together with Serbian groups, are considered among the most dangerous countries in Europe for trafficking tons of cocaine from Latin America to the EU.
Now we rightly raise the question why Altin Dumani goes there?
It clearly shows that these groups have collaborated with Albanian groups, and this also explains the role of strengthening Albanian groups in recent years in the EU.
We have read in the SPAK files how Albanian groups have had unlimited access to launder money in Albania, it appears in the Suel Çele file, it appears in the Çopjave file, it appears in the construction permits that Edi Rama has granted to SPAK subjects that nominally should make Edi Rama a subject of SPAK himself and so far there has been no investigation.
There is also the issue of the port of Durres, it has been at least 3 years since we have had any quantity of narcotics seized in the port of Durres.
The last figure was narcotics from a group that came from North Macedonia, if I'm not mistaken, 3 years ago, about 130 kg.
Now we can rightly add the question, could it be that these Montenegrin clans, Skalari and Kavac, have also set their sights on Albania to traffic narcotics from the port of Durrës?
Could these Montenegrin criminal groups, which Dumani went to today directly after his visit to the US State Department, have seen Tirana and the Albanian coast as an oasis for laundering drug trafficking money, whether in the construction sector, in these towers that our economy does not justify?
"These are some questions that need to be raised ," the police announced.
