Lapraka is the noisiest area of the capital. Not only during the day, but also at night, the residents of this area are exposed to high levels of noise. According to data from the National Environment Agency, in this area during the day we exceed the norm by 27%, while at night by 9.3%.
According to the KTA, the levels monitored during the day at the "Lapraka" station are 69.8 dB, out of 55, which is the World Health Organization's allowed norm.
But other areas of the capital have also been monitored. After Lapraka, the second noisiest area is the Train Station, followed by the Vasil Shanto intersection.
In all 15 monitored points, there is an excess of the noise norm, where the main source is vehicle traffic, sirens and horns. The only area with the lowest excess of the allowed noise norm is the “United School”.
Continuous exposure to noise causes hearing problems, brain inflammation, lack of concentration, sleep problems, aggression. Also, high noise levels can result in cardiovascular effects and exposure to high levels over a single eight-hour period causes an increase in blood pressure./TV Klan
