Sports are becoming increasingly violent on and off the field. Another fight between fans occurred in Greece yesterday evening, in Chalkida, where a 23-year-old man was stabbed to death after a violent fight between two fans.
Authorities said there were 8 people involved, divided into two groups.
Two other people were also injured, but not in life-threatening conditions. According to information, two of the arrested were injured in the fight on Lilantion Street.
According to the same information, the 23-year-old who lost his life, as well as five of the six arrested, had not been a concern for the authorities, while the sixth person arrested, 19 years old, was known as a criminal contingent and had precedents. A seventh person is still unidentified and is being sought,
The 23-year-old was transported by unknown persons in a private vehicle to the hospital in Chalkida and abandoned at the entrance. However, despite the efforts of the doctors, the young man succumbed to his injuries and died.
As ELAS spokesperson Constantia Dimoglidou previously said, the appearance that the police have created is that a total of 8 people were involved in two groups of 4 people each.
A second incident occurred a little later near Eleftherias Square, where a 20-year-old man was found covered in blood and taken to Chalkida Hospital.
