
The match played today between Flamurtari and Elbasan, has erupted into episodes of violence after the 0-1 victory of the friends in Vlora. Immediately after the match, violence and chaos broke out in the coastal city, between the fans of the two teams.
In the footage obtained by A2 CNN, it appears that the Police have 'armored' the area around the stadium, to maintain peace among the fans. Elbasan fans have broken the benches of the Flamurtari stadium and thrown them into the street.
Elbasan got an important away win against Flamurtari, temporarily climbing to the top of the standings with 20 points.
The decisive goal was scored by Lajthia in the second half after a header, while the team from Vlorë had claims for a penalty that was canceled after the intervention of VAR. With this loss, Flamurtari remains at the bottom of the table with only 5 points.
In the next match, Dinamo and Teuta shared one point each in a strong and tense duel, lacking clear chances but not controversy. The decisions of referee Klodian Prenga were fiercely contested by the Dinamo players, especially after Maliqi's red card.
The draw keeps both teams in contention for the top four, while the race for the top spot remains open, awaiting the Egnatia–Vllaznia challenge that closes the tenth week of the championship.
