Once again, Edi Rama has attracted the attention of Turkish media, but not for his speech or meetings at the NATO Summit.
After reports of his arrival in Ankara on a luxury private charter, this time the Albanian Prime Minister's attire has ended up in the spotlight.
CNN Türk television dedicated a special feature to Rama's appearance, noting that he was the only leader who chose to appear in his characteristic white sneakers.
"The 36th NATO summit in Ankara is drawing attention not only to critical global issues, but also to the leaders' stylistic preferences," Turkish media writes.
According to CNN Türk, while almost all heads of state and government stepped off the planes wearing classic dark shoes, Rama "broke the pattern once again," maintaining the style that has accompanied him for years on his international outings.
" The Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama, arrived at Esenboğa Airport to attend the summit. Rama once again stayed true to his characteristic choice of white sneakers ," the Turkish television emphasizes.
It is not the first time that the Albanian Prime Minister's attire has been the subject of commentary in foreign media. White sneakers have long become an element of his public identity, attracting attention at almost every international summit he attends.
This time, the comments come just a few hours after Turkish media also published footage of Rama's arrival in Ankara on a private VistaJet plane, placing the Albanian prime minister twice at the center of reports from the NATO Summit.
