A protester present at the rally in front of the Prime Minister's Office criticized the government for what she described as misuse of public funds, referring to the financing of the concert of American artist Kanye West.
In her speech, she claimed that the government has unblocked the emergency fund for organizing the concert, while adding that, according to her, such an action has not been taken in other cases, such as earthquakes or floods.
"Today Edi Rama has unblocked the emergency fund to pay for Kanye West's concert tickets. Every Albanian will pay 2 euros out of pocket for this concert, even if they will not attend," declared the protester.
During her speech, she said that public funds should be used for pensioners, hospital patients and other categories in need, criticizing the government's priorities in distributing financial resources.
The statements were made during the protest organized in front of the Prime Minister's Office, where participants demanded the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama and raised a series of criticisms of the government's policies.
