Journalist Osman Stafa has denounced the collapse of the healthcare system in Albania before the Prime Minister's Office. Stafa has revealed a heartfelt message that he received today from an Albanian mother, who suffers from gynecological cancer, which tells how the state found millions of euros to bring rapper Kanye West, but failed to invest in the equipment that would save her and hundreds of other women's lives.

"The government gave 4 million euros for Kanye West's concert, while the hospitals are without medicine," the journalist declared to the gathered crowd, then reading word for word the open letter of the woman who is battling death in foreign hospitals:

"I am a woman suffering from gynecological cancer, I finished the cycle of radiation and chemotherapy in the oncology department. When I had to have brachytherapy, they told me it didn't work. I didn't have the money to do it abroad. Every day I woke up with the hope that I would get the treatment. The disease came back to me, today I am dead for good. Today I am in Italy and I have my life from the Italian state. Today I learned that the state found 4 million euros for a concert. They couldn't find brachytherapy for me. Maybe I am a statistic for some, but for my children I am the whole world. I am fighting for my life, I would like the state to invest in my hope, not just in one night of spectacle. They set up the stage for one night, not brachytherapy."

Moved by this testimony, journalist Osman Stafa has raised his voice against the executive's priorities, emphasizing that this money wasted on propaganda shows could have saved the lives of people who do not have the economic means to seek treatment abroad.

"This is the letter this mother sent me today. She is fighting for her life. 4 million euros for a show, when it should have been for life-saving equipment! Brachytherapy saves the lives of our mothers, fights gynecological cancer! Our mothers don't have the money they have to treat the disease abroad! They don't have the money because they work to support their children," said Stafa.

At the end of his speech, the journalist listed what could be done with the funds the government spends on concerts, pointing to the open wound of shortages at the QSUT.

"Albanians go to Italy and Turkey to be treated. With this money, brachytherapy, PET scans, and medications that are lacking today for people suffering from cancer would have been provided," the journalist concluded his strong denunciation on the 38th day of the mass protest.
