Recently, Kazakh media have reported on the club's financial difficulties, raising doubts about the possibility of an exclusion from European competitions. Astana had previously announced that it was under UEFA monitoring due to arrears in financial obligations.
Meanwhile, UEFA has published the official decision, confirming that the Kazakh club will not be excluded from European competitions. The organization that governs European football has decided to punish Astana with a fine of 100 thousand euros, for violating financial rules in the balance sheets of the last three seasons.
With this decision, speculation about Astana's participation in the first round of the Conference League against Dinamo ends. It now remains to be seen in what sporting form the Kazakh team will present itself in the confrontation with the Blues.
