Former PDK MP Hisen Berisha and Vetevendosje MP Adnan Rustemi have had a heated debate during a discussion regarding the failure to elect a new president in Kosovo. This failure led the country to early elections, while the CEC has proposed June 7 as the date for holding the elections.
Vetevendosje accuses the opposition of blocking the elections, while the opposition says that Vetevendosje's goal is to gain time until the diaspora vote.
The debate between Berisha and Rustem degenerated into personal insults. The latter accused the opposition of being afraid of Kurti because of the unjustified wealth they acquired while in government. In response to these statements, Berisha accused Rustem of being a product of Serbia, while also leveling accusations against Interior Minister Xhelal Sveçla.
Both sides accuse each other of collaborating with the Serbian list.
Excerpt from the debate on A2 CNN:
Hisen Berisha: The goal was to bring up the constitutional issue to buy more time. What does buying time mean? To postpone the elections to a suitable moment, which they allude to in the diaspora and try to treat as if the opposition is afraid of the diaspora vote.
Adnan Rustemi: If we had, we would have done it. You stopped us.
Hisen Berisha: Shut your mouth when I speak, noise
Adnan Rustemi: You have a problem with your property and you fear the confiscation of your property because you have a problem, of course coordination with the Serbian List to sabotage the state of Kosovo, to prevent good local government and use every method to hit Kurti. I understand where you have a problem and concern but you can't determine who governs in Kosovo the people of Kosovo have voted and the people of Kosovo themselves again propagandize Deon Mihajli enough enough enough
Hisen Berisha: You have a problem, you parrot of Dejona Mihali, with the elections, with the exiles.
Adnan Rustemi: You are worried about the millions that you have benefited from when you were in government, you are worried about the wealth, you are intimidating and fearing the bureau for the verification and confiscation of wealth where the senior political officials of the party who have become millionaires at the expense of the people and the state of Kosovo. That wealth will be confiscated and returned. Our commitment, which you want to interrupt, is why you are trying your best to block Kurti at any moment, also using the Serbian List.
Hisen Berisha: You offspring of Serbia, you do Serbia's work in Kosovo, you cooperate with the Serbian List. Where is Mr. Sveçla? You had him with prostitutes in Radoićić's villa and each of you.
