Mundësia Party MP Erald Kapri commented in Parliament on the protests that have been taking place in the country for 11 days, accusing the majority of ignoring the demands of citizens and young people who have mobilized against the government.
During his speech, Kapri said that the opposition has requested the presence of Prime Minister Edi Rama in the Assembly hall, while accusing the majority of not respecting the Rules of Procedure and the Constitution.
He also responded to the statements about blackmail, directing the accusations at the leader of the socialist parliamentary group, Taulant Balla. Further, Kapri said that the hurricane of youth will take this shameful Assembly forward.
"We have asked the prime minister to come to the hall. You refuse to respect the Rules of Procedure and the Constitution. There was talk of blackmail, if anyone is doing it, it is Taulant Balla. Look at this photo. Balla has released photos blackmailing and endangering the life of the Reuters director in the region.
This is serious and this is blackmail. Don't you understand what's happening? Aren't you ashamed of the political culture of young people who are putting you out of the game?
"Tomorrow Rama has called an anti-rally just a short distance from the Albanian youth. What are you celebrating, half of the government in prison or that you filled the Parliament with rapists. Think carefully because the hurricane of youth will take this shameful Parliament by storm," said Kapri.
Kapri's statements came in a plenary session dominated by debates on the protests taking place in Tirana and other cities in the country, where protesters are demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama and the removal of the government.
