The plenary session was accompanied by tensions after the speech of Socialist MP Ardit Bido, when the leader of the Opportunity Party, Agron Shehaj, asked to take the floor to reply.
Shehaj attempted to block the podium, preventing MP Luciano Boçi from speaking, arguing that Bido had indirectly referred to him during his speech and therefore had the right to respond.
On the other hand, the chairman of the session, Niko Peleshi, rejected Shehaj's claim, stating that to his knowledge the socialist MP had not mentioned it.
The debate between them was accompanied by direct replies in the hall.
"Sit down," Peleshi asked MP Shehaj.
"Who is Adam Smith?" Shehaj replied.
While Peleshi ironized the situation by saying: "I can't know that he referred to you as Smith. I don't know that you are Adam Smith. Where can I find that!?"
The clash caused tension in the Assembly, temporarily interrupting the normal course of parliamentary debate.
