Here are the Assembly's expenses for April...
Although April was a campaign month, this did not prevent MPs from benefiting from the special status granted to them by law. The Assembly has published data on expenses during April and it turns out that 29 MPs received allowances, with quite high values.
It's about allowances for trips within the country. Normally the law allows for such things, but it's about the month of April. During this period, the Parliament was closed and the deputies were wandering from one corner to another for campaigning, but it turns out that we paid them for their food and accommodation expenses. The amounts range from 700 thousand old lek to 1.3 million lek.
But not only that, since during the campaign they moved in their own cars, but the citizens paid for the fuel again. 15 million old lek went for fuel reimbursement. Meanwhile, 22 million lek went for telephone reimbursement. Undoubtedly the amounts are smaller than usual, but no one has refused the benefits.
While the largest amount went to salaries. Even though the Assembly was involved in the campaign, they continued to be paid, each receiving approximately 3 million lek. In total, about 400 million old lek went to salaries.
So unlike many other candidates who have not had the opportunity to cover the campaign, those who are current MPs have covered their expenses from our taxes.
