There is no longer any room for doubt. Jurgen Klopp will be the new coach of the German national team, succeeding Julian Nagelsmann, who left the post after the "Pants"' disappointing elimination at the World Cup.
According to journalist Florian Plettenberg, Klopp's official presentation is expected to take place next Friday. The German coach will travel to Frankfurt to sign a four-year contract and then be presented to the media.
The final details of the agreement are currently being finalized and, once the World Cup final is over, the German Football Association will officially begin a new era under the leadership of one of the most successful coaches in recent years.
Klopp has long been the main target of the federation's leaders, who believe he is the right man to return Germany to the top of world football.
The coach himself has confirmed that the deal has already been closed. In an interview given shortly before the World Cup final, he revealed that he has reached an agreement with Red Bull to leave the managerial position he held after the end of his adventure with Liverpool, thus paving the way for his appointment to the bench of the four-time world champions.
Klopp stated:
" I have reached an agreement with Red Bull. A very generous agreement. There is nothing that can stop it ."
The coach also spoke about the moment of his official appointment as head of Germany:
" When the time comes, we will announce it ourselves and we will not need others who are always rushing with the news. In fact, this should happen within the next few days. Ideally, as soon as possible ."
According to German media, Klopp will sign a four-year contract and his official presentation is expected to take place on Friday.
