The MP accused the minister of siding with businessmen, describing this fact as a major problem.
A fierce clash occurred between two socialists today in the plenary session of the Parliament. Socialist MP Erion Braçe exploded in strong tones against the Minister of Agriculture, Andis Salla.
Braçe told him that Troç is the only Minister of Agriculture who does not accept that VAT has destroyed livestock farming. The MP accused the minister of siding with businessmen, describing this fact as a major problem.
"You are the only Minister of Agriculture who gathers those from factories to make a statement against the deputies. This is a very big problem," Braçe addressed Minister Salla.
The clash became tense after Minister Salla defended the work of the institutions regarding laboratory analyses for a previously reported case, accusing Brace of raising unnecessary alarms and misinforming farmers.
"We have the analyses that are here. We cannot misinform all the farmers and raise the alarm," the minister declared, insisting that the institutions had followed the relevant procedures and conducted the necessary analyses.
Brace asked the minister to retract his statements about “false alarms.” Brace said that in some cases the concerns raised by him have proven to be well-founded and accused the minister of not acknowledging the real problems of the sector.
Debate in Parliament:
Salla: We have the analyses that are here. We cannot misinform all the farmers and raise the alarm, raising our voices about a product that we still haven't had the analyses for and you were asking for an answer without a state analysis.
