Thousands of citizens are protesting for the 11th day in Tirana, demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama. The latter has attacked protesters on many occasions, while there have been reports of pressure being exerted by the government.
Influencer Kejd Peza, through a post on social media, claims that videos related to the protest are facing restrictions on TikTok and Instagram.
He said that one of his posts had received "zero views," which he said could be related to the platforms' algorithms. Peza called on influencers and social media users to use alternative ways to publish videos, avoiding certain locations and hashtags.
He also mocked Prime Minister Edi Rama, saying that reactions against him are being heard everywhere and that the echo of the protesters' cries has become inseparable from the atmosphere of the city.
"Rama has changed the algorithm so that protest videos don't appear on TikTok and Instagram, so that people or protest videos don't appear. It just happened to me with this video I just posted, "Zero views", but zero I mean, zero! And it was very strange, there is no problem with the video. I call on influencers and all people who want to post protest videos, don't use Location.
