The young people of the Democratic Party will officially join the civic protest, which has been taking place in Tirana for 11 days and has spread to several cities in the country, but also European capitals, where the diaspora supports the protesters in Albania.
In a statement to the media, a group of young people said that this is not the time for differences among each other as Albania today is at the most critical point of its existence.
Nikola Kedhi said that today is not the time for differences between each other. "What unites us is greater than what divides us. Albania today is at the most critical point of its existence", emphasized Kedhi. On behalf of the FRPD, he emphasized that today education, health, the environment are destroyed, while there is life uncertainty and legal uncertainty.
"These are issues that concern every Albanian citizen. They are not issues that distinguish us on the left and on the right, engaged and unengaged, or biased and unbiased. Therefore, today we have a call for every Albanian citizen, for every democrat, every young person, especially, right or left, engaged or unengaged, to be in the square today and every day to return Albania, to raise our voices and to return Albania to our home again", emphasized Kedhi.
While Andia Ulliri, addressing young men and women, but also every citizen to take to the squares and streets, said that we should protest for all the causes that unite us and not those that divide us.
The FRPD's decision to join the civic protest comes at a time when it has also received support from Democratic leader Sali Berisha, even though the protesters from the first moment have turned "Rama in prison, Berisha in prison" into their main slogan.
What is known is that so far the only flags that have accompanied the protest are the national ones, while in the first days there were accusations and counter-accusations between some of the protest exponents and some DP officials.
