Prime Minister Edi Rama has reacted after the protest organized against the planned investment in the Zvërnec area. The head of government, responding to the protesters' request for the cancellation of the project, stated that their request cannot be fulfilled since there is no project for Zvërnec yet.
Through a lengthy response on the "X" platform, Rama added that the Zvërnec project is still being worked on by five prestigious international architecture studios and that the final document will be released soon.
" Should I cancel the project? Is that why you called the good people to protest, the ones who followed you today? Okay, I agree - bring me the project and we will cancel it! But how is it possible that you have nothing to bring because there is no project? Do you know why there is no project? Because the project is being worked on by five of the most prestigious studios in the world! ", said Rama.
The Prime Minister further rejected claims that the investment is linked to Israeli interests or the creation of a “Palestinian ghetto” in Zvërnec, describing these accusations as manipulation. He stressed that most of the people who came out to protest were deceived by the organizers, as the project has no Israeli connection, and added that this kind of anti-Semitism insults the legendary memory of our ancestors who defended the Jews in World War II.
He stressed that the investment of around 4 billion euros is supported by American partners and the Qatar-based Power Holding group, which he described as one of the largest tourism ventures in the European Mediterranean.
The head of government accused opponents of the project of spreading misinformation and using citizens' patriotic feelings to incite opposition to the investment.

Ata dalin në rrugë për shkak të kësaj ndjenje të plagosur nga manipulimet tuaja rreth shkatërrimit të supozuar të natyrës, por absolutisht jo për të fyer kujtimin legjendar të gjyshërve tanë myslimanë dhe të krishterë, të cilët i dhanë Shqipërisë vendin e nderit në Luftën e Dytë Botërore duke mbrojtur hebrenjtë me jetën e tyre! Eshte fund e krye nje afere e rradhes. Ky nuk duhet besuar as kur merr fryme. Shqiperia eshte bere nje vend i shtrenjte. Askush nuk punon per shqiptaret. Shtresat e mesme dhe te ulta sot jane si mos me keq. I njejti projekt eshte per darezezen semanin, paketa maleve etj etj.
Mos e nxirrni me kete mashtruesin. Kurre ska bere ate qe ka thene. Tjeter gje thote tjeter ben. Eshte parim i delenxhiut.

Hajde mashtrue pa moral hajde! Nje here e perqeshte trapin, pastaj e drodhi e i lepiu bythen, pastaj i beri disa fafore te "vogla" familjes. Ai i tjetri maloku e shkaterroi vendin me ekonomi, ushtri e njrezillekun. S'kishin para e rrembyen e vrane e prene. Ky na hapi "turizmin" ne vendin tone per te rrjepur Shqiptaret te paret. Hapi rruge e ua rrembente token te zorteve per 3 dollare meter katror. Linte e le te ndertojne njerezit ndertesa me kate me leje e pa leje e ua shmbemb me buldozere. Pse ketij populli i ka shkuar gjaku e djersa dem tere historise se vet. Me bene pershtypje ata kafshet mezate kriminele te "policise private". Nazistet perdoren elemente te tille kur moren pushtetin. Po kur s’ka projekt ku e si do investohen 4 miliard… pse 4 e jo 10 pa projekt qenka futja kot… Rama po e kthen në problem politik pasi e kuptoi se në problem nacionalist nuk i ecën dhe tani kërkon mbështetjen politike të socialistëve… ne delir që prej vitesh guxon e thotë s’ka projekt po ne do ndertojmę
