Former Foreign Minister Ditmir Bushati said that his contribution to the Socialist Party, like his political family, will not be lacking whenever it is requested.
Bushati described the decision by SP leader Edi Rama not to include him in the 2021 elections or to remove him from the leadership as a personal decision, while emphasizing that despite this, he does not intend to make any political leaps.
"I am young to say goodbye to politics, it was a decision of the party leadership not to include me in the 2021 elections, it was also their decision to remove me from the leadership of the SP. Shoulders are important, but not as much as the character of the person. I am where I have always been, it is not that I have changed political organization.
I am someone who prefers to look ahead, reflecting on what has happened in the past, but I have never appreciated colleagues who have switched from one party to another because they seemed to me like players who change jerseys from one club to another. I thought that this is the political family I belong to, with its good and bad. I thought that some things need to be said in that family and outside. I have not thrown stones at anyone and as long as I have energy, I will continue to give my contribution as much as I can, "said Bushati on the 'Now' show on 'Euronews Albania'.
