The Democratic candidate in the Durrës district, Aulon Kalaja, commented on the vote recount process for the May 11 elections. Kalaja, one of the candidates who requested a recount, mentioned the case of Tirana, which has already closed this process. According to him, the movement of about 10 thousand votes in this district is not a human error and that the KAS should put the prosecution in motion.
He added that at the same time, a dirty game is being played with those who have requested a recount, which according to him is being done for the principle and not for the mandate.
" I went to seek justice at the KAS, but what I found was injustice. There are several reasons. I requested the review of videos, footage of the two moments when the subjects and then the candidates were counted. What I saw was the transformation of the vote from the first act to the second. If I had a vote in the first count, in the second count my vote was spoiled. KAS cannot determine that people made human errors. Here, about 10 thousand votes were circulated and according to these, is it human error? KAS should put the prosecution in motion. We have become a shooting table. It now turns out that Ilir Alimehmeti is a vote thief because he got 130 votes plus ", said Kalaja, among other things, on the show 'Debat' on 'A2 CNN'.
