Renowned Albanian dancer and choreographer Kledi Kadiu brings to Albania the first edition of the "International Ballet Competition Albania" , an event of international proportions that will take place on December 4 and 5, 2026 in Tirana.
This project aims to become a reference point for the art of dance in the region and beyond, gathering new talents from different countries of the world and positioning Albania on the map of prestigious ballet events.
The activity will be spread over two days. On December 4, a workshop will be organized at the National Ballet School, while on December 5, the competition will be held on the stage of the National Opera and Ballet Theater in Tirana, where participants will have the opportunity to perform in front of an international audience and jury.
One of the strongest points of this event is the inclusion in the jury of a high-level group of teachers, including well-known names on the ballet scene such as Frédéric Olivieri, Paola Vismara and Michele Merola.
"International Ballet Competition Albania" comes as a long-term initiative, with the aim of creating a sustainable platform for the development of young talents, as well as to promote international artistic exchanges.
The realization of this event is supported by key institutions such as the National Opera and Ballet Theater, the National Ballet School and the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sports, demonstrating an important collaboration in the function of the development of art and culture in the country.
