Gjetan Dalipi, the brother-in-law of 65-year-old Selim Velsula, who was stabbed to death by 32-year-old Hazbi Velsula, says they were unaware of a conflict between them. According to him, he spent every day with the 65-year-old and that he had not said anything to him about any possible conflict.
Dalipi also said that it was an electrician who saw the 65-year-old lying on the ground, who immediately notified the police and family.
"When I returned from Tirana, my brother picked me up and told me the story. I came straight away, it had been two hours since the incident had happened. Between 5-6 pm. I have no idea that I had stayed with Selim. The perpetrator lived here but had left. He may have come two days ago. Even Selim did not tell me that there was a dispute. There was no property conflict. We do not know anything about what he committed the crime. Nothing is known because there was no one else there. An electrician saw him by chance, he was working on the canal. He passed by in an SUV, saw him lying down, who notified the police and the family," said Dalipi.
