The perpetrator of the serious incident that occurred in Manëz a few weeks ago, where two people were killed after a fight over a cup of coffee, has surrendered to the police. He is Daniel Pepa, who fled the scene of the crime.
" The Specialists for Crime Against Life and Property at the Durrës Local Police Directorate arrested citizen DP, 21 years old, resident of the village of Manëz, Manëz Unit, Durrës. His arrest was carried out in accordance with the order dated 14.11.2025, of the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction of Durrës, for the execution of criminal decision no. 622/1, dated 13.11.2025, of the Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction of Durrës, which has set the security measure "Arrest in prison" against this citizen, as a person suspected of committing the criminal offenses "Intentional murder", "Unauthorized possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition". These actions are related to the event that occurred on 22.10.2025, where citizens FP and AK, in Manëz, Durrës, event in which this citizen is implicated, suspected as the perpetrator ," said the police.
The serious incident occurred on October 22, in the outdoor environment of a bar in Manëz, where 33-year-old Flori Paluçi and 23-year-old Aranit Kurti were shot dead.
21-year-old Daniel Pepa entered the bar and asked for a coffee, but 17-year-old waiter Alteo Pepa told him that the espresso machine had been turned off. At that moment, Flori Paluçi, who was in the bar with several other people, intervened. The verbal argument between the parties escalated into a physical fight.
Pepa left the bar in his vehicle, but a little later returned with Ergi Kadiu and Aranit Kurti (23 years old). At the moment they tried to re-enter the bar, Flori Paluçi came out and shot the ground with a gun. According to the investigation, Pepa reacted by shooting at Paluçi, while Aranit Kurti punched him in the face. Paluçi shot at both of them.
From the shooting, Kurti was killed on the spot after being shot by Paluçi, while the latter lost his life a few moments later from bullets fired by Pepa.
Police have arrested four other people involved in the incident for failing to report a crime: Ergi Kadiu, Erald Cani and the brothers Taulant and Emirjan Beqja. Meanwhile, in addition to Daniel Pepa, 30-year-old Gëzim Allci is also wanted, suspected of illegal possession of weapons, failing to report a crime and aiding the perpetrator of the murder.
