A quantity of TNT exploded in the early hours of the morning in a vehicle in the village of Gimaj, Shkodra, causing only material damage. Preliminary data indicate no injuries.
According to the official Police announcement, the vehicle is owned by citizen Leonard Ftoni. Immediately after receiving the notification of the explosion, the Police services went to the scene, where they secured the area and initiated the first investigative actions to fully document the event.
The investigation team, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, is working at the scene, collecting material evidence and verifying every lead that may help shed light on the circumstances of the incident. The investigations are focused on identifying and apprehending the suspected perpetrator or perpetrators, as well as determining the motives that may have led to the placement of the explosive.
The explosion caused only material damage to the vehicle, while authorities have not yet released any further details on the amount of substance used or specific suspicions regarding the incident.
The police inform that the investigations are ongoing and that any new information will be made public after the completion of the necessary procedural actions and verifications.
