A 25-year-old man from Durres with a previous record has been arrested by the capital's police for distributing hard drugs.
The arrested person is Lalush Gecaj, who previously held a friend hostage and was arrested this Thursday evening after being caught distributing cocaine in Kamëz.
His activity was focused on the Kamza and Valias areas, where he traded in the most frequented coffee bars as well as in youth-oriented venues where he had built a network of buyers.
"Following the work to crack down on the criminal activity of distributing drugs in doses, based on information received that a citizen was distributing cocaine in Kamëz and Valias, the services of Police Commissariat No. 5 in cooperation with the Narcotics Section have captured and arrested in flagrante delicto the citizen LG, 25 years old, resident of Durrës," the Police announced.
The arrest of this citizen was made after during the physical search and search of the apartment, the Police services found and seized as material evidence a plastic bag with suspected cocaine, divided into doses, ready for sale, 2 cold weapons (a knife and a metal baton like those of the police, 1 electronic scale, as well as a sum of money obtained from criminal activity.
The materials were passed to the Tirana Judicial District Prosecutor's Office for the criminal offense of "Production and sale of narcotics", the police announced.
