A 22-year-old man was arrested in Shëngjin after being caught with doses of cannabis in his car and apartment. The young man, who was traveling with another person, is suspected of distributing the narcotics. During a search of both of their apartments, police also found a shotgun, ammunition and communication equipment.
"As a result of continuous checks to prevent and crack down on criminal activities, the Narcotics Investigation specialists of the Lezha Police Department have stopped a vehicle in Shëngjin for inspection, in which 2 citizens were driving.
During the search of the vehicle driven by citizen Flavio Gropaj and passenger citizen SI, the Police found several doses of the suspected narcotic substance cannabis, which citizen Flavio Gropaj is suspected of possessing for the purpose of selling. Following the actions, during the search of the apartment of citizen Flavio Gropaj, other doses of the suspected narcotic substance cannabis were found, while during the search of the apartment of citizen FI, 1 shotgun, combat ammunition and 2 radio transceivers were found.
At the end of the actions, the Narcotics Investigation specialists arrested in flagrante delicto the citizen Flavio Gropaj, 22 years old, resident of Velipojë, and referred the materials to the Prosecutor's Office where the proceedings were initiated in the absence of the citizen SI, 30 years old, resident of Velipojë," the police announced.
