A 24-year-old man has been arrested by police in Fier, after a plot of 223 cannabis seedlings was discovered in the area called "Kodra e Dafinave", in the village of Gjorgoz.
The discovery was made during a ground and air search of the territory, as part of the national operation "Coordinates".
"Following the national operation codenamed "Coordinates", the services of the Fier Police Commissariat, during the control of the territory, from the ground and from the air, using drones, in the place called "Kodra e dafinave", in the village of Gjorgoz, have found a plot in which 223 cannabis narcotic seedlings were cultivated.
The Crime Investigation Specialists of the Fier Police Commissariat have organized the work and have arrested the suspected perpetrator of the case, a 24-year-old Macedonian citizen, resident of Cakran.
The seedlings were destroyed by burning. Also, the services of the Fier Police Commissariat found and destroyed 90 cannabis sativa narcotic seedlings, in the territory of the Portëz administrative unit.
Work continues to identify, capture and bring to criminal responsibility the author/s of this cultivation case", the police announced.
