The video of the fight in Vlora has been published, where three people clashed with INUV employees.
The director of the Territory Protection Inspectorate, an inspector, and law enforcement officers in Vlora were involved in the incident.
The cause was a joint action by the Municipal Police and the IMT to clear public spaces. The IMT and Municipal Police forces were assaulted by four people for not allowing the clearing of public spaces.
The incident occurred at the entrance to the city of Vlora, where after noticing a fight, traffic officers intervened to quell it. During the intervention at a car wash, one of the officers was punched by the owner of the car wash (a police officer), forcing him to draw his service weapon and shoot in the air to disperse the people.
The owner of the car wash who assaulted the state employees turns out to be a municipal police officer, who, together with his father and brother, initially opposed the task force employees verbally and then assaulted them.
Irfan Dalipaj, 58 years old, Drisild Dalipaj, 27 years old, and Fabio Dalipaj, 23 years old (father and 2 sons) are the 3 detained people who were involved in a conflict with the director and inspector of the IMT.
The "Eagle" forces were then notified, and they escorted the people involved in the altercation.
"Today, at around 12:20, the Police services were notified that at the place called Narta Roundabout, a conflict occurred between INUV employees and citizens ID, 58 years old, DD, 27 years old and FD, 23 years old. In the vicinity of the conflict, two Road Traffic employees were performing a scheduled service, who intervened to prevent the escalation of the conflict and were physically attacked by the three aforementioned citizens.
During the intervention and in an attempt to stop the physical attack, one of the employees used his service weapon, shooting into the air, without causing any injuries.
As a result of the physical injuries caused by the blows of the three citizens, the two Police officers were taken to the Vlora Regional Hospital, where their lives are out of danger.
An investigative group has been set up at the scene, consisting of the Prosecutor's Office's Special Investigation Team and the AMP, who are continuing their actions to fully clarify the circumstances of the incident," the police announced.
