On June 1, the State Police revoked the license of the private police due to the violence in Zvërnec – but 2 weeks later, 'Myrto Security' continues to provide physical security services to private entities and state institutions, as well as trade in weapons and ammunition. The General Directorate of Police has not published the decision, while the Central Bureau of Investigation registers the asset with licenses 'I.3.A' and 'I.3.B' still in force...
After the physical violence in Zvërnec, the State Police revoked the license of the private police "Myrto Security", which according to the law means the immediate cessation of surveillance services, physical security, storage and transportation of monetary values, and trading in military equipment.
Although its license was revoked on June 1, 2026, the company "Myrto Security" is continuing its activity for physical security services, not only in private entities, but also in state institutions and services.
When the state receives and announces an administrative sanction for license revocation against a private entity, allowing it to carry out the activity creates suspicions that the private entity is disregarding the state, or the announcement of license revocation is a public fraud.
This perception and suspicion is created by the fact that the private police "Myrto Security", during the two weeks after the revocation of its license, has not ceased its activity in any of the private entities and state institutions, nor the arms business.
In addition to physical security services, the State Police is allowing the private police "Myrto Security" to import and trade weapons, ammunition and military equipment, which are an integral part of the activity defined in the scope of the license.
Owner Hysni Myrtaj can continue the activity of import, export, transport and trade of food products, industrial goods, bars and cafes, cultural, sports, religious and political activities, as stated in the permit granted by the National Business Center.
But it cannot carry out private police service activities, import and trade in weapons, ammunition, military equipment, and activities at shooting ranges, defined in the licenses of categories "I.3.A" and "I.3.B", because they have been revoked by the State Police.
This is what the police officially declared, but the private police "Myrto Security" continues its activity even after the license was revoked, a fact that requires a response from the leaders of the State Police:
· Has this private police force's license been revoked or not; and if so, why is it allowed to carry out activities in state institutions and entities, trading in weapons, ammunition and military equipment?
We ask this question because the General Directorate of the State Police has issued a notice of license revocation, but has not published the decision document.
