The Chairman of the Mundësia Party, Agron Shehaj, has reacted after the decision of the Secretariat of Ethics in the Assembly, headed by Ulsi Manja, which decided to exclude him from plenary sessions for 30 days.
Through a video message published on social networks, Shehaj stated that the disciplinary measure will not prevent him from continuing his opposition and raising his voice on issues that, according to him, affect Albanian citizens.
The leader of Mundësia emphasized that he will continue his opposition engagement not only in the Parliament, but also in protests and in every public space, demanding the removal of Prime Minister Edi Rama.
"Ulsiu and Taulant just decided that I cannot speak in Parliament for the next 30 days. They have ruined the lives of Albanian citizens for these 35 years, making their lives impossible. I will not shut up!"
"They can't stop me! I will continue to be an opposition in Parliament, on the boulevard with the citizens and wherever I get the chance. They are corrupt and must leave as soon as possible. Edi Rama must resign," says Shehaj.
The MP's expulsion was requested by Taulant Balla and a group of Socialist MPs after tensions arose during an interpellation with Finance Minister Petrit Malaj. During the debate, Shehaj requested clarification regarding the non-collection of a 120 million euro fine against the company Bankers Petroleum.
In his response, Minister Malaj referred to Shehaj's private companies, stating: "Now we will deal with you."
This statement caused an immediate reaction from the leader of the Opportunity Party, who responded from the podium: "If you threaten me here in the Assembly, what do you do to a simple citizen who comes out to protest, you masked man?"
This is the second time in 2026 that Agron Shehaj has been suspended for 30 days from the proceedings of the Assembly.
The first case occurred after he displayed images in the Parliament hall that, according to him, showed police violence against the residents of Rrjoll, while accusing the majority of censorship against them.
