The name of the person whom the Elbasan police and the family of businessman Mondi Mëhalla are seeking as a suspect for organizing and financing the murder of the oil trader in Elbasan on November 30, 2025, has been revealed.
Journalist Elton Qyno has learned that this is not a foreign person, but a 35-year-old from Elbasan whose name is similar to the Arabs and who is called Oklid El Ouejdi. In the city of Elbasan, this character is known by the nicknames "Kiço" and "Oliver". Oklid El Ouejdi is also known in the city as the nephew of a character called "Timi i Elbasanit"
According to Elbasan police sources, this person left the Qafë-Thane Border Crossing, failing to be located and verified by the Elbasan criminal police.
Since January 2018, Oklid El Ouejdi has registered an Import-Export, vehicle trading and rental point as a business in Elbasan. According to verifications, this business is called "SOLEIL" auto.
According to sources, "Kiço" is the person who, 10 days before the murder of Mondi Mehalla, was raped by the latter. The physical rape took place in the premises of the "Xhaxhi Oil" gas station and, according to sources, Oklid El Ouejdi was accompanied by another person.
The cause of the conflict was a commercial agreement worth 700 thousand euros. But unable to fulfill the agreement with Mondi Mahalla, Oklid El Ouejdi offered as a solution the provision of 4 apartments in Tirana, which had ownership problems.
The situation has heated up to the point that businessman Mondi Mëhalla has physically assaulted Oklid El Ouejdi. And then, 10 days later, he is suspected of having organized and financed the murder of Mondi Mëhalla alias Hyka, who is known in Elbasan as a close friend of Kei Piu.
Currently, Ouklid El Owaidi has not been located and is being escorted to the police station to provide explanations. He has gone to North Macedonia, a country where he has many social acquaintances, including Sheval Muharremin, who is known in Macedonia as the "Boss of Gërçeci".
Meanwhile, 8 days after the murder of businessman Mondi Mëhalla with 3 bullets, Nevzat alias Nevi Spaho from Përrenjas has been arrested and is currently in prison. He is suspected of having acted as the driver from the Miraka area, where the perpetrator burned the "Audi" car in the direction of the Përrenjas area.
Also in prison is the gas station employee Kujtim Pisha, who failed to call the police about the incident, as well as Mondi Mëhalla's business partner, Xhino Ago, who failed to change ownership of the Audi car. Meanwhile, Armando Kola from Laçi and Marselo Arani from Elbasan are still wanted.
The names of Armando Kola, Nevzat Spaho and Marselo Arani have emerged from Naldi Gjini, the first person to be identified by the police as the man who had used the "Audi" car a few days before the murder of Mondi Mëhalla.
Because Gjini cooperated, the police and the Elbasan prosecution did not prosecute him for any criminal offense. Naldi Gjini's cooperation was limited to the procedure for presenting suspects for identification.
Naldi Gjini was confronted by the police with photographs of several people, among whom he recognized Armando Kola, Nevzat Spaho and Marselo Arani, as the three people who had been together when he left his car.
Gjini pointed his index finger at the photos of 3 people, which led the Elbasan criminal police to then begin searching for them.
Marsel Arani has also been identified from a camera in a garage in the "21 Dhjetorit" area in Tirana, while he was using the "Audi" car that was used in the murder of Mondi Mëhalla.
While the footage is clear, the police have not been able to locate and arrest Marselo Arani in recent days, who has disappeared, violating the "house arrest" security measure he had received from the Elbasan court on charges of "Laundering the proceeds of a criminal offense."
