Fabjel Toska, the 37-year-old who was injured by gunfire in the city of Berat, is headed to the Trauma Hospital in Tirana.
The incident occurred after a fight that started over a vehicle overtaking.
According to police sources, the injured man was traveling in a Seat vehicle with a friend, on the Kombinat-Dimal axis.
Another vehicle, a black SUV, followed and overtook the injured man's car several times. Fabjel Toska got out of the car to argue with the driver of the other vehicle, but he shot him in the stomach. The injured man's friend also got out, but as soon as he saw the attack, he left and notified the police.
Sources confirm that the victim and the driver of the other vehicle had no previous acquaintance, a fact that was also confirmed during statements before crime inspectors at the Berat DVP.
Fabjel Toska, a resident of the "Çlirim" neighborhood, was initially transported to the Berat Regional Hospital and then to the Trauma Hospital, where he is in serious condition.
The investigative group, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, continues its intensive work to clarify the circumstances of the incident, secure evidence, and identify the perpetrator(s).
