A 34-year-old man has been arrested by police on suspicion of stealing various materials and items from vehicles.
The arrested Geraldo Zeneli is accused of stealing various materials and items from 5 vehicles and 1 subject who broke their windows, as well as stealing 2 bicycles, during July, October and November of this year.
Police have also arrested 48-year-old Gëzim Cani, who purchased the stolen materials from the 34-year-old.
"The services of Police Commissariat No. 2, following complaints from several vehicle drivers/subjects, for the theft of materials and items of considerable value from their vehicles or subjects, after breaking the windows, based on information received in the operational route, organized and finalized the police operation codenamed "The thief".
As part of the operation, citizens GZ, 34 years old, resident of Tirana, and GC, 48 years old, resident of Tirana, were captured and arrested.
From the investigative actions, it is suspected that citizen G. Z, in the months of July, October and November, stole various materials and items from 5 vehicles and 1 subject who broke their windows, in different neighborhoods, which he then sold to citizen GC.
Also, citizen G. Z, on 20.11.2025 and 29.11.2025, stole 2 bicycles. During the search of the 48-year-old's apartment, the Police services seized some of the stolen materials. Investigations are ongoing to uncover other thefts that may have been committed by the 34-year-old.
"The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office for further action," the police announced.
