This was stated by Naldi Gjini, the first person to be detained by the police as a suspect in the murder of Mondi Mëhalla alias Hyka in Elbasan, to the Elbasan police.
Because Gjini cooperated, the Elbasan police and prosecutor's office did not prosecute him.
Journalist Elton Qyno has learned that Naldi Gjini's cooperation was in the procedure for presenting suspects for identification.
Naldi Gjini was confronted by the police with photographs of several people, among whom he recognized Armando Kola, Nevzat Spahiu and Marselo Arani as the three people who had been together when he left his car.
Gjini pointed his index finger at the photos of 3 people, which led the Elbasan criminal police to then begin searching for them.
Marsel Arani has also been identified from a camera in a garage in the "21 Dhjetorit" area in Tirana, while he was using the "Audi" car that was used in the murder of Mondi Mëhalla.
While the footage is clear, the police have not been able to locate and arrest Marselo Arani in recent days, who has disappeared, violating the "house arrest" security measure he had received from the Elbasan court on charges of "Laundering the proceeds of a criminal offense."
Armando Kola from Laçi is also still wanted. The only person identified through photographs by Naldi Gjini and who has already been arrested by the police is Nevzat alias Navi Spaho.
According to the Elbasan police, Nevi Spaho has refused to provide explanations, while it is suspected that he may have helped the perpetrator of the crime to flee after committing the crime through the Elbasan-Librazhd-Prrenjas-Qafë-Thanë road segment.
The suspicions are that Nevzat Spaho may have served as the driver of the person who shot at Mehalla, from the moment he burned the car in the Miraka area, very close to the "Ballkan" hotel.
Elbasan police are now working to locate and arrest a foreigner named Oliver.E, who is suspected of committing the murder of Mondi Mëhalla, later supported by Nevi Spaho from Prrenjas. /Syri.net
